In this session, we will start by an introduction to teach you various strategy/trick of parallelism and then deep dive into MPI, the method to share computation between different computer with communication between the various computer to organise the computation/share results,....

  • Introduction to parallel computing
  • Parallel programming with MPI
  • advanced SLURM

Must: This session is a must-have for anyone writing or even simply using MPI programs

Type: Hands-on

 

Prerequisite:

  • Being able to use SSH with private keys 
  • Being familiar with a text editor 
  • Mastering the Linux command line and the GNU utilities (mkdir, cp, scp, etc.)
  • Passive knowledge of C or Fortran
